HAPPY 20th ANNIVERSARY TO SUB POP RECORDS
The popular independent label that brought us the bands Nirvana, Soundgarden and Mudhoney turns twenty. Sub Pop Records, based in Seattle, Washington, was founded by Bruce Pavitt and Jonathan Poneman. Their first release was Soundgarden's debut EP Screaming Life. For those of you in the Seattle area, Sub Pop is having a 2 day music festival at Marymoor park July 12th and 13th. The line up includes The Helio Sequence, Mudhoney, The Ruby Suns, Flight of the Conchords, Fleet foxes and more.
